Business Development and Marketing Intern

Description: Come intern with us! The Dieringer Research Group, Inc. (The DRG), a 40+ year leader in the marketing research field providing qualitative and quantitative services, is excited to offer an internship opportunity for a Business Development and Marketing Intern for Summer 2019. We have a great group of curious, creative, hard-working people here ready to welcome you to the team.

Responsibilities:

During your time, you will shadow and learn from experienced team members on specific tasks such as:

  • Assisting with marketing efforts
  • Assisting to update internal documents with fresh visual appeal
  • Shadowing/assisting Marketing with social media tasks
  • Reviewing/preparing proposals for the Business Development team
  • Assisting/shadowing in other departments to learn more about our company
  • Meeting with members of our senior management team
  • Attending/participating in The DRG’s community service and social events

You will also have the opportunity to work and learn independently on key assignments so you can gain a deeper understanding of the marketing research industry, including:

  • Research and prepare a report summarizing one or more current trends in the marketing research industry
  • Research and prepare a case study on an actual research project
  • Research and prepare marketing content such as a whitepaper or blog article

Educational Requirements:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (junior standing) in Business, Marketing, and/or Social Sciences

Experience Requirements:

  • No experience required

Desired Skills:

  • High attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Ability to design visually appealing content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and are creative and solution-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and take direction in a fast-paced, team environment

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; creativity with PowerPoint a plus
  • Approved background check

Hours: Full-time, 30-40 hours per week
